Meet our Patrons
Syrus began is his professional acting career working with children for many Theatre In Education companies including Big Fish, Actorshop and Futures Theatre Company.
He then went to drama school and graduated from RADA in 2007. His first job upon leaving was a schools project for the Old Vic Theatre titled The Sky’s The Limit.
Since leaving he has performed at the National Theatre, Donmar Theatre and the Open Air Regent’s Park Theatre. He also played the role of “The Boy” in the original production of The Velveteen Rabbit at the Unicorn Theatre.
On television he has appeared in Sherlock, DCI Banks, Holby City, The Five and is the voice of Lars in the hit CBeebies series Go Jetters.
Syrus is really excited about being a patron of the Young Actors Group, as he had no industry role models as a child. The fact that he may now be able to act as the role model he never had is for him a truly wonderful thing.
Holly Aird showed a huge interest in ballet as a child, attending local Dance school, Bush Davies from the ages of 9-14. After a short time there, Holly was picked out by a casting director to star in ‘The History of Mr Polly’ for BBC1.
A couple of years later, Holly was cast in ‘The Tales of Beatrix Potter’. Shortly after this she was cast once again in her biggest childhood role, ‘The Flame Trees of Thika’, which filmed in Kenya, East Africa.
Holly is one of only a few actresses who has managed the difficult transition from child/teenage actor to adult actress. She went on to star in shows such as ‘Soldier Soldier’ and BBC cult series, ‘Walking The Dead’, as well as many other TV, feature films and West End productions.
Holly is thrilled to have been asked to be a patron for The Young Actors Group as she uniquely offers such a genuine support and guidance from her first hand experience in the industry.
