“Annie and Friends”. It’s 1933 and it’s a Hard Knock Life for anyone in New York, especially if you’re an orphan. A begrudging and cruel Miss Hannigan puts the orphans to work to keep a roof over their heads. Vivacious orphan Annie has many attempts of escaping but finally sees a way out when Grace comes along looking to boost PR for her employer none other than the billionaire Mr Warbucks. Meanwhile Rooster and Lily burst back into Miss Hannigan’s life fresh from their last escaped, driven by greed they’re hungry for their next pay cheque and they’ll do anything to get it.
After the success of their devised show ‘Children of The Amazon’, this group are stepping up and back in time to revive an old classic. Their commitment to delivering energetic performances, coupled with my guidance and direction has enabled them to begin to truly embody the characters in this brilliant story. Working with this group has been a delight, as their infectious energy and eagerness to dive into the roles create a vibrant and collaborative atmosphere. It is always my aim to foster not just a learning environment but a collective space where creativity thrives in young minds.
I sincerely hope that the performers relish the challenges they’ve embraced, and I trust that you, the audience, will thoroughly enjoy witnessing their artistic endeavors come to life on stage.
