What would you do if the world ended tomorrow?

Survival plunges us into a series of imagined futures where young people must face the collapse of the worlds they once knew. From a zombie outbreak to an AI-controlled human farm and finally a bunker after nuclear war, the play explores how teenagers respond when adults disappear and the responsibility for survival falls entirely on them.

Across these shifting worlds the characters must decide whether to fight, flee, trust one another, or step into the unknown. Blending humour, fear and imagination, Survival asks a simple question: when everything falls apart, what keeps us human? Ultimately the answer may be the same in every apocalypse… we survive together.

This production has been developed as an ensemble piece, with actors multi-rolling across different worlds and characters. In rehearsal the cast explored each character’s wants and needs, using these motivations to drive their actions on stage.

The group worked on projection and vocal clarity, learning how to communicate clearly with the audience while staying truthful to the moment. We also explored blocking and spatial storytelling, discovering how movement and positioning help shape the story and how to share the stage as an ensemble.

They also practiced understanding the fourth wall, when to hold it and when the energy of the audience becomes part of the performance.

Together they have built a show driven by imagination, collaboration and the courage to step into many different worlds.

Enjoy the show!
