The inmates at a bizarre summer camp are plotting a revolution. Or has it already happened? Over the course of a single day—filled with exercise, lessons, and mealtimes—a long history of unrest and injustice bubbles beneath the surface, and as night approaches, the threat of violence looms large.

This play, originally commissioned for National Theatre Connections in 2017, explores the power, vulnerability, and volatility of young people pushed to their limits.

This term has certainly brought its challenges. As a new teacher, I’ve been learning what the students can do while simultaneously diving straight into rehearsals—a process that has been both demanding and incredibly rewarding. We’ve navigated students joining and leaving the production, as well as a fair amount of illness along the way.

Throughout it all, the students have shown remarkable professionalism, resilience, and teamwork. I’m truly proud of how they’ve risen to the occasion.

I hope they have enjoyed the challenge, and I hope you enjoy watching their hard work come to life on stage.

Enjoy the show!
